Common List of Questions-with Answers

Q. My Calibrön X has an attachment weight that looks ground.

A. Each Calibrön X attachment weight is hand checked or calibrated to exacting standards. Even the best screw machines cannot hold the tolerances we demand for overall accuracy. The attachment weights of the competitors' copies and knock-offs fall out of a screw machine somewhere in china and thats their quality control.P.S. but they look pretty!

Q. The 'level' indication appears slightly different when I place the same attachment weight from the upper beam #3 hole to the lower beam hole.Shouldn't both holes register the same exact weight?

A. Yes they will. If not, it is because the upper and lower arms are not exactly parallel.Take the beam assembly off of the pivots so as not to damage them. Then softly tweak the arms in opposite directions so as to re-parallel the arms. Check your results and make corrections as necessary. Our balances are made of the same tough polymer as the old ma-bell telephones. Tough, but not indestructible.
